Rome, Day 1

I took a train from the airport to the Termini train station. My hotel, the Hotel Atlantico,


was a short walk away.

It was around 3 pm when I started touring. The Colosseum was a 15 minute walk, so I started there.


I took dozens of pictures, but here are a few of my favorites:


The Palatino, looking from inside the Colosseum:


I liked how the clouds continued where the stone left off:


I then took a walk down the street to see the Colonna Traiana (Trajan's Column):


I liked the intricate carvings up the column:


Across the street was the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II:


Then I went home for a snack and an early bed time!
