By Thursday morning, most of the fire had been contained. I took another picture from the third floor of the NOAA building for reference.
You can see the burned grass on the hillside to the left (don't be fooled by the cloud shadow further to the right!). The Boulder Daily Camera revised the total acreage burned to about 3000 acres.
This morning, I hiked up Mt. Sanitas, a small mountain on the edge of Boulder, and took this picture.
