A week and a half ago I flew to Washington, DC, to visit with my parents, aunt, uncle, and cousins.
I took this picture while we were waiting for a gate to open:
I visited GW's campus; the most noticeable difference for me was that where the hospital used to be, there was nothing,
and where there was once nothing, there was a new hospital (above the Foggy Bottom Metro stop).
Unfortunately, I didn't use my camera for the rest of the trip. I had a good time though, and was able to meet some first-cousins-once-removed for the first time.

It snowed over a foot this past Thursday, which gave me a day off from work. The weekend was sunny and warmer, so the snow is quickly starting to melt.
In anticipation of participating in the Bolder Boulder, I went for a jog today. Here's the route I took.

Steam on the Road
It snowed a little bit last night, and on my way to the bus stop this morning, the sun was baking off the water on the road. I thought it looked kind of neat.
I also had my first 'real' meal today at lunch. By real, I mean something other than rice, bananas, soy milk, or spinach (which I only had last night). I felt better today, but I still get tired walking up hills or stairs. Not helping my dehydration is the fact that it was super dry today, even with last night's snow.
P.S. Sorry for the crooked picture. I tried to take it from a low angle.

My first meal in two days!
I had food poisoning (or some such thing) Thursday night, and ended up sleeping most of Friday and much of Saturday. So even though I wasn't very hungry, I decided I should eat something. Fortunately, Roya offered to make me some Persian rice, and I took her up on her offer (I'm still too tired to do much, especially cook!). So here was my first meal in two days:
It was delicious! I had to hold myself to two bowls (I got full very easily). Thanks Roya! Thanks also to Sara, who made that hot pad for me.

Bear Peak Hike
Since the weather was supposed to be fairly nice today, I decided to climb Bear Peak. Normally I don't go until April or May, but we've had so little snow this year, this weekend worked out just fine.
I took this picture of Bear Peak on my way up:
About two-thirds of the way up, there is a saddle where I took this picture of the spine of Green Mountain. I liked how the cloud mirrored the mountain.
Once at the top, you could see for miles. Here are Pikes Peak (left) and Longs Peak (below).
I tried to take a picture of Longs Peak and me, but you can barely see the mountain.
This picture shows where I started:
And finally, when I got to the bottom, I turned around a took a picture of where I was.
According to gmap-pedometer, I climbed more than 2500 feet today!
